have you ever seen his Greatest Fighters of All Time list? he has Dempsey as the #11th or something.

He knows his history, but hes got some very strange opinions.
I think that actually makes Pac look better, Bert always chooses the old fighters.

eh. he picks and chooses the guys he likes. its not always about older fighters and newer fighters with him.

I remember that he rated both Hagler and Whitaker fairly low on his list.

If you count the JCC fight as a draw...nobody

And thats what i meant by my statement, Pac beats the closest fighter to him for fighter of the decade, the most skilled boxer of his generation and a 5 weight world champion if he beats Floyd

If Pac beats Floyd then he has beaten that undefeated fighter 8 divisions up from where he started

It's also a bad style matchup for Pac so he overcomes a fast slick boxer to go along with all the mexicans he's beaten

Taking Floyd's 0 catapults Pac up the ATG ranking

one thing i was confused about from that article http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/chatESPN?event_id=26810

Someone asked him if Joe Louis had a fight with Ali both in their primes who would win? and Bert replied "If the two were the same weight, not Joe at his heaviest at 204 and Ali at his heaviest, 224. The answer is Ali, obviously."

But if it was so obvious why has he got Joe Louis 4th on his top 5 P4P fighters with ali at 8th.....surely Ali would have to be higher up?

I dnt disagree with him or anything just thought its abit of a contradiction....

I know in some peoples views just beacuse he can beat 1 figher doesnt make him P4P better....but in a way i can see why people think this...as it means they are the best....so if you beat the best wouldnt it make you the best.

I was counting it a draw, but I shouldnt have been. I agree beating Floyd moves him up the ATG rankings, I was just curious if that was the only fight he could have to move him past Pea.

Bert's a cool guy(met him myself) but he's wrong. Pacquiao isn't ahead of Pernell Whitaker or Marvelous...Camacho was nice too

It just seems to me hes always bigging up the old schoolers. I wasnt even talkin about Hagler and Pea more the Dempsey and Joe Louis type. I find it real easy to do something else when he talks so you're probably right.
