Make it happen so Roy will finally retire. Roy's only hope at heavyweight ever was that he fought the worst heavyweight champion in years, RUIZ.
Roy called Klit up!!!!!

The only shred of hope he'd have, if he did do it, would be that returning to the weight he was for the Ruiz fight might make him a bit stronger again. That's very, very unlikely, though. I think he's just shot and that's it, really.Comment

Roy misses the publicity
he's been talking about fighting heavies since he was in diapers, and even then it took him 10 years before he fought one of the safest heavyweights out there. John Ruiz LMFAOOOO.
roy is just talking **** as usualComment

He was very badly hurt in his knockout losses, but remember that as bad as Ruiz may be, he actually does have decent power - even for a heavyweight. I'm pretty sure he even knocked Holyfield down in one of those three borefests. I'm not saying Jones wouldn't leave the ring in a bodybag against Klitschko, just saying that as crap as Ruiz may be for a champion, he does have reasonable power.Comment

When you think of Heavyweights and threats, you think of guys like Lewis, Tyson, Holyfield, and couple of other characters all of whom were around when Roy was on a media rampage about fighting all of them. ''Line em up'' he said.
What bothers me is that even today, and after all those ko losses, there are still people out there (and you know who they are) who believe Roy would have made it out there lol. After the Ruiz victory they matched up Roy with Tyson Prime for Prime ffs, and justified Rpy's chances of winning lol
anyways back on topic, Roy running **** out of his mouth to land his name on front pages of boxing articles. Typical Roy, all that flirting but no ***** play.Comment

anybody can hurt anybody, that's not the question. Point is, at that time, the Ruiz fight was a safe gamble for Roy, and later on for Toney. Difference between Toney and Roy being that James was fighting heavyweights before, as well as after he outpointed Ruiz (later changed to a nd). And James wasnt just fighting 'safe' opposition.
