1.) distractions - Political aspirations, celebrity status, servant of his country may pull his head out of the game.
2.) Size - I think he's pushing things by going into WW. PBF, Cotto, Mosely all either have significant reach and/or strength advantages. He may be pushing things a bit too far.
3.) competition - I think his improvements (boxing skills, defense) is not really proven due to the nature of his past few fights. He blew them out too easily and any improvements weren't really tested. I'm one of those people that believes one learns more from a loss than a win.Comment

He's made the worst business decisions of any elite fighter arguably in the last 10 years when it has comes to his career. Whether it be turning his boss down in a third fight for $10 million after beating him twice, going to fight Winky Wright in back-to-back fights for a little over $5 million or having an opportunity to fight Floyd in November 2006 for a career payday, $8 million, but instead he chose to get dental work done and take a family vacation after coming off a tremendous performance in the Vargas fight. Just a couple years ago after losing to Winky twice, he was fighting on an ESPN undercard and from there, an HBO undercard fight on Barrera's show. These are just a few examples of why he is very bitter and jealous of Floyd.

1. Turn a third Oscar fight for $10 million.
(Maybe because he knew he cheated in the second fight, and already cheated oscar out of money and a victory)
2. Fought Winky Wright Twice for a 5 Million Dollars
3. Turn Down 8 Million Dollars to fight Floyd Mayweather in 2006.

AND ESPECIALLY he does not deserve a shot to put on the big stage making Millions of dollars when we have fighters like Paul Williams, Nate Campbell, and glen Johnson. Fighters who did it the right struggling to get a big fight...

If I were to take each fighters last 3 fights at face value...yes. He's upped his countering, defensive movement, power in both hands with a wider variety of punches, he's more balanced and picked up some outside boxing skills.
But like I said, how complete Pac's new skillset is still in question due to not being pushed by his competition and we've yet to see if he reverts to his old ways when the fights not going his way.Comment
