Ali countered Foreman silly all night long. He took a hammering to the body but was landing good shots to the head throughout the fight.

People that just watch documentaries think that Ali was losing badly and Foreman punched himself out after dominating, and then Ali took over.

People that actually watch the fight see that Ali was effective off the ropes as soon as he went there in round 2.

But Foreman was still way more effective than Hatton, as George actually landed a lot of hard body shots, and some good head shots as well.

Hatton did a great job at mauling and missing punches, and getting beat at his own game of roughhouse tactics.

The similarity is that both Hatton and Foreman got owned, basically.
