Itd be great for BHops legacy if he would win the title against Froch. BHop is aging and hasnt fought since he beat Pavlik but he would probably beat Froch if he were 50! I hope BHop knocks him out and retires as a true legend

I can understand why froch would take a fight with hopkins because it would really get his name out there. No in all seriousness, thats a fight I just do not see him winning.

It look like the kelly pavlik sitaution all-over again. Good wins over taylor than beaten up by hopkins! Bad style match-up for froch! It's not worth the risk!

On the other hand froch/bute would be an entertaining 50/50 fight IMO.

I was about to post the same thing. Yet i am a Froch fan. After the **** he was giving Joe about taking on the 'elderly' in Hopkins and Jones, how can he justify in fighting Bernard a year later?

I hope the Bute fight comes off, i see it 55/45 in Bute's favour but it will be an exciting fight that Froch has a good chance in. If he establishes himself as topdog of the 168 division, he will be respected by more rather than taking a schooling from Hopkins. Especially when you consider the Kessler saga, if Froch gets by Bute, he will be number 1 at SMW, with the likes of Abraham/Pavlik and other top 168s all in line for top fights.

He can justify it because BHop looked so much better against Pavlik than he did against Calzaghe and Wright. He's older, but rejuvenated.

Forget that Calzaghe stuff, he was just trying to get him to fight! I love that Froch is willing to fight but he better check himself.

Bernard SKOOOOOLLLLSS him. He is was to green and 1-2 dimensional for Bhop and Nazam. I would rather see hop fight adamek, but hey, I want Bernard to fight anyone at this point. Dawson is the real fight out there for him.

Bute is a big problem for Froch too, if Bute is in shape, he's a much more complete fighter and better boxer than Jermaine. Bute also keeps his cool and can box circles against Froch with that lead hand down.

I think Froch needs more seasoning before he starts taking on these boxers. Even Kessler is a better matchup for him, because while he's a boxer/puncher, his game isn't as varied as Bute. He should stick to guys like Andrade and Bika, where he could get some more polish and make some dough. How about Allan Green?????
