Chagaev has always been the only real challenge

RS has been the second best fighter at HW for years, and stylistically presents the most difficult fight for Wlad (or for Haye for that matter).

Also the Ring belt is at stake, and Haye made Wlad wait too long as it is with his shameful Stamford Bridge stunt.

Hay should fight Eddie Chambers in the fall. He'll likely lose, but if he wins he should get next shot at Wlad after Chagaev and Povetkin

Chagaev looked terrible in his last fight, extremely slow. Maybe he has too many injuries and I think his team was caught giving him steroids because of the injuries and that is why the Valuev fight didn't happen. All these heavyweights getting injuries except for Wlad, Vitali was in an injury-prone sport which was kick-boxing before boxing.

I'm happy that Wlad will hopefully be fighting Chagaev but I've never really been impressed with him. His fight against Carl Drummond earlier this year just reinforced his mediocrity..

A few years ago he had a terific string of fights in which he beat up Ruiz worse than Toney or Roy did, never let Sprott land a punch in eight rounds and became the first to cleanly and decisively beat the giant Valuev.

What? Chagaev has a disease and he is allowed to fight still?

Maybe his fight with Carl Drummond was a case of "ring rust." Anyways, he was reportedly in great shape for the Valuev rematch and hopefully bring in some intensity in what sometimes lacks in Wlad's opponents...

I think that Chagaev's best days are behind him. He has only had two fights in the past two years and has looked average in both.

Hopefully he can make a fight out of it but I'm not terribly excited about Wladimir-Chagaev.

He couldn't put away Skelton, which is a bit shameful. I suspect he has a lot more in the tank than he showed there, but still Haye is the fight most fans want to see. If Haye can guarantee July 10th I'd wait, but I'd still want verification of the injury. IMO Haye's a joke.
