From overnight, Kermit "The Killer" Cintron has generated interest in the wake of his victory by decision on Alfredo Angulo on Saturday,
Cory Spinks,junior Middleweight champion (154 pounds) of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), appears willing to risk the belt against the Puerto Rican boxer.
"I think it would be a tremendous event Cintrón fightig with me, specially after his important victory over Angulo," said Spinks.
In fact, the lefty predicted that the encounter would be more attractive than a rematch between Cintrón and Argentine Sergio Martinez, who tied in February.
Despite Cintron that he himself told Primera Hora that he did not have a clear picture of his next engagement, he was willing to remain in the 154 lbs.
Another possible scenario for Cintrón would be part of a mini-junior division at the median. The first confrontation was with Paul Williams, Interim King of the World Boxing Council (OMB).
Cintron and Williams were scheduled to battle in early 2008 but was injured before the Puerto Rican Jesse Feliciano in November 2007.
