I think boxing has to accept some portion of blame. Look, when coin is short the TV companies HAVE TO cut back their content. It's simple business law and all sports - from football to darts - are fully aware of the rules.

When the marketplace becomes increasingly competitive a sport must become increasingly INNOVATIVE. Tweak the rules. Market the fighters. Hype bouts to the stars. Make boxing more INTERESTING.

There are countless examples of perceived 'dying' sports which have reinvented themselves. Snooker did it in the eighties. Darts has been in boom times for a number of years.

Things like Prizefighter are a good start. It's something beyond the norm. We need more 'out of the box' thinking.

Looks like we stuck with Friday fight nights and 3 month old fights on Eurosport.
It was hard enough to find boxing here. Now it's getting worse.

Definitely, boxing has brought a fair amount of this on itself and I just hope there are some imaginitive promoters out there who can bring some of that 'outside the box' thinking back on to our screens.

I know... As if the actual quality of the fights wasn't bad enough those two commentators could put you to sleep over Hagler/Hearns!

You go too far S.G!!! lol. You are right though, those 2 sound like they are either bored to tears or in a library, which isnt surprising when you consider some of the dross and piss poor scoring/refereeing they have to contend with.

Eurosports coverage reminds me of Terry Wogan covering the eurovision song contest!
