Haye refuses to throw in the towel!!!
DAVID HAYE will fly to London for intensive treatment on a back injury — in a bid to salvage his world title fight against Wladimir Klitschko.
The heavyweight's crack at Klitschko's IBF and WBO titles was due to take place on June 20 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
But Haye has been forced to pull out after picking up a back problem while training in Cyprus.
And he is now hoping to persuade Klitschko to delay the showdown by three or four weeks.
Haye's manager Adam Booth said: "We were contractually obliged to tell Klitschko of David's injury as soon as it occurred.
"We are hoping they will agree to a slight postponement as this is the world title fight thousands of fans want to see and not Klitschko in action against a substitute opponent."
Haye, 28, will see a back specialist but Klitschko is already looking at three opponents to step in as the 28-year-old's replacement.
Ruslan Chagaev is the favourite as his world title fight against Nikolay Valuev was called off last week when he did not come through a medical in Helsinki, where the clash was due to take place.
Chagaev failed a blood test but would have been passed fit to fight almost anywhere else in the world.
Well done Haye. Try to get this fight back on the road. True warrior.
