By Cliff Rold - Almost since the final bell rang on March 01, 2008, there has been a sizable population of boxing fans and professionals wondering if, when, there would be a fourth fight between Israel Vasquez and Rafael Marquez.
Those questions remain outstanding but by process of elimination we know a little bit about where the fight won’t be.
If it happens, it won’t be within the confines of 122 lbs.
On a conference call last week Vasquez, who has not fought since winning his second straight against Marquez, his body having earned a rest and retina problems extending his time away, made clear he will be continuing his career. He also made clear that after over a decade at or near the Junior Featherweight limit, he’ll be entering the Featherweight division four pounds up on a permanent basis. [details]
