  • Kevin Johnson Ready To Replace David Haye on 6/20

Undefeated and world ranked heavyweight contender Kevin Johnson (22-0-1, 9KO) has one question for The Klitschko Management Group, "What time does the next flight to Germany leave?" Johnson, coming off an impressive TKO victory over undefeated US Olympic Team Captain Devin Vargas on May 15th looks to prove he is the leading US heavyweight contender and next heavyweight champion.

Vlad would take this fight in a heartbeat as he is used to fighting low caliber opponents, but the 70,000 who were going to see Haye/Klit will not pay to see Johnson.

I just read where Brian Minto said the same thing. Every heavyweight is ready to replace Haye to make the biggest paycheck of their life. The problem is that the 40,000+ fans who already bought tickets may not be as easy to please.

I'd much rather see Kevin Johnson than a slew of other walking corpses like Minto or even Ruiz.

This fight would be a jab-on-jab crime. Haha

I have no issues with Kingpin as a replacement. I don't think he can win, but as far as short notice replacements go he is a damn solid fighter. Plus he's unlikely to hurt Wlad so maybe he could fight again if Haye is ready soon in two months or so.

The klits love all of these green, inexperienced undefeated fighters lol. The key sta with Johnson is that he only has 9 KOs in 22 wins, No one is going to pay to see that crap.
