He's 27, been fighting since 25. He's got a strong punch, but a seemingly weak chin. His opponents have a combined record of 308-50-9. So he has fought better competition than most up to this point in his career at 15-0. He's been down 4 times. All to different guys in different fights.

He's the interim WBA champ, he's fighting Guty Espadas Jr in July. If Chris John can get past Juarez, I would love to see John-Gamboa in Vegas for the full WBA title.

I don't think he's really got a weak chin, all four of his knockdowns were flash knock downs and mostly due to him being off balance. Never seen the guy hurt myself and I've seen all of his fights, except maybe one or two very early ones.

I'd say amir khan has a weak chin, since before getting KTFO he was practically out on his feet a couple times.

Gamboa can be knocked down, but not so much hurt. I don't know how to word that better - he can be caught easily when he's off balance and will go down but not necessary hurt.

Yes right, but what the other guy wants to say is that Gamboas chin has not be be weak only because he was down a few times, cause he wasnt really hurt.

He's been hurt before. Marcos Ramirez had him on shakey legs before the actual knockdown.

I don't think his chin is that great. He seems to have good recovery though.
