Wladimir Klitschko May Fight Prior To David Haye Bout

BoxingScene.com was advised by manager Shelly Finkel that every possible option will be explored for IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. The Klitschko team received notification on Wednesday morning that David Haye had suffered an injury. The exact injury was not disclosed at the present. There are some reports floating overseas that Haye had suffered a “hand injury” but nothing has been confirmed from the Haye camp. The HBO televised fight was scheduled for June 20 in Germany. Best not be serious. Though i guess it will be serious if he had to postpone the biggest fight/pay day of his career.

Get Valuev or even Chagaev, they're both in shape.

This is bull****. I bet all the fans who rushed out to buy all those tickets are going to be real happy to see Wladimir fighting another replacement bum. This is why I will never buy a ticket to another boxing event. I have been to the last two major events in Houston (Diaz-Katsidis & Diaz-Marquez). And when i go it's to really enjoy the fights, not to sit in the nosebleed, so I spend some money. Too many injuries and weight issues and bull**** going on though. I'll keep my money and watch it on T.V.

This is boxing my friend, that would be way too logical and practical. But you got to wonder, why not try to make a Valuev-Klitschko bout? I'm sure that the promoters would have no trouble selling tickets and filling the stadium. In fact, it seems like a "no brainer" to me because all the parties involved would stand to make a lot of $$$...

We should have a battle of the giants.... Valuev and Wladimir!

But who are we kidding... those two guys will not face each other.... they like fighting much smaller guys.

I miss the old days... when the fans were the most important aspect of the sport. Now, they just cancel and screw everyone that made plans (tickets, hotel, airfare).
