Leonard would hve toyed with Pryor. The reason they never fought was Pryor didn't bring money and he wasn't at Leonards weight.

Is it a duck when a fighter offers another fighter from a lower weightdivision 500K and the fighter from the lower division turns the offer down claiming an unfair split?

Higher division fighter is SRL. Lower division figher is Pryor.

does duck duck mean the same as "duck" ?
            .
            .

            Odd boxing fact.
Aaron Pryor once got knocked down, did a backwards somersault, got to his feet and hit his opponent before the ref could intervene for the count

Kind of the same reason Miguel Cotto is not fighting Victor Ortiz right now. Unfortunately for Pryor, his drug abuse prevented him from potentially fighting Leonard a little down the road.

Pryor at the time was pretty much a nobody (compared to Leonard) and not to mention, campaigned at a lower weight class and was thought to be a natural lightweight who only fought at 140 lbs because no one at lightweight was willing to give him a shot.

There were also accusations of Leonard ducking Thomas Hearns, the top welterweight in the world. Sugar Ray would have been given hell had he chosen to fight Pryor, who had never fought at welterweight, instead of Hearns.

Still, he made an offer to Pryor and Pryor declined. When Pryor became a name by beating Arguello, Leonard had already retired.

So this is what a troll would have looked like a couple decades ago. Same nonsense different year.

The point is that Leonard did not duck Pryor.
