If Haye Knocks out Wladmir does he become pound for pound number one

Double standards.

Wlad could beat every heavyweight in the world by KO and The Ring wouldn't put him in their top 20 p4p. They had him as #47 p4p last year.

But if Haye beats Wlad he should be in the top 10?

The talent in the HW division is mediocre. For a HW to be consider a top 10 P4P fighter he needs to be the undisputed champ and have beaten atleast 2 high rated contenders.


VItaly and Wald anre 2 B- Level fighters in a C- Minus division.

FOr HAye to be in the top 10 P4P he needs to beat Vitaly,Wald and Arrealo and maybe Povetkin. Thats how bad this division is. And he will get to the lower part, and thats because he was the real CW champ wich hels him too!!!!

Not really, surely you see Haye beating Wlad is more significant than vice versa or Wlad beating other heavies.

Although I have Wlad in my top 10 anyway. Ring Magazine have the likes of Cabellero in theirs so I dunno wtf is going on there

You dont think unifying the CW division, moving up to challenge the best at HW who outweighs you by 50 odd lbs and knocking him out to become heavyweight champ is P4P worthy?

Current P4P is nothing to write home about so this would be a bigger achievement than most people on the list

Im sayng anyones list isnt littered with talent. The fact that Shane Mosley is suddenly propelled into most peoples top fives with a win over Margarito tells us that we're lacking real P4P talent. Haye beating Wlad after unifying at Cruiser surpasses a lot of people on that lists achievements.

The MW is garbage tho besides Sturm, Pavlik and Abraham tehres not much there. But Pavlik came from beating Zuniga,Miranda and Taylor x2, before losing to B-Hop who is the number 3 pound per pund.


So No boxing lacks talent? WTF? Mosley should be 6 or 7 P4P, period, Dude Lost to Cotto but came back and KTFO Mayorga at 154 and then destroyed Margarito at 147.

Wlad and Vitali are giants among men and get little credit because most of the guys they fight offer little to no competition and result in a one-sided beat down.

Haye would be boosted in the top p4p ranks (10-15) with a win over Wlad and into the top (5-10) should he beat both Wlad and Vitali, just the way it is.

If the Klitschko brothers' fights in recent years provided excitement and looked like wars, then they would be respected more but their size advantages make every fight look like a clear mismatch.

Calderon clean house at 105 and move up and beat twice the lineal champ in the division. and has 2 defenses at 108 already.

This thread is on the basis that he KOs Wladimir Klitschko coming up from Cruiserweight with a huge weight disadvantage. How you dont see that as being as impressive if not more than some of those guys in the P4P list........I have no idea.

I have Mosley, Williams and Calderon in my top 10 so you dont need to justify your choices to me. Im just saying, P4P aint what it was a few years ago when you had Jones, Lennox, Barrera, Morales, Kostya, Tito, Prime Winky and Shane, Naz.
