  • Andre Berto -vs- Carlos Quintanna Official Poll!

A lot of folks are clamoring for Berto to step up against a legitimate Welterweight. I think this would be a very competitive bout. Who would win, how, why? Poll to follow!

Pick em fight imo, but I'll go out on a limb and say CQ UD's him.

What makes this one official? .

That would be a good step up for Berto and a tough fight. I think I'd pick Berto by decision. Too fast for Quintana but Carlos could outbox Berto if he came in on his A game.

Does Quintana typically fight every minute of 12 rounds when not getting rocked? If so he could probably beat Berto. He has solid agility combined with decent speed/power. If Berto can catch a couple times early it would likely go toward Berto.

Quintana would knock him out, the one thing about Quintana he's a very smart boxer. Cotto beat him because he jump on him and didn't let off, Berto is not that kind of fighter. Quintana would time Berto and he would catch him coming in everytime. This would not be a good fight for Berto he would get picked apart and stopped by Quintana.

I wouldn't be too shocked if this was the sort of move Dibella made not too far along down the road. It just requires one more so so performance by Quintana and Lou would jump on it.

I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to make it now. Quintana is still a highly regarded WW and the inactivity would be a plus for Berto. It would be a good fight and would give Quintana a chance to be back as a major player at 147.
