I just now am watching the fight with Cintron.
They said he didn't show up to any of the press conferences to promote the fight or anything until the weigh in.
They speculated that maybe he was sick or had trouble making weight, anyone have a link to an article that gets into further detail or know what went on?

Kind of makes me wonder if Angulo lost because something went wrong in camp or if Cintron simply outclassed him?
Rematch maybe?

Cintron won't want a rematch. Angulo almost had him outta there in the 12th, even while he was sick. If they meet again, Angulo makes Cintron his *****.

There was quite a bit said on the telecast regarding Angulo arriving the day of the weigh in, and how he looked during the interviews with the HBO team. After the weigh in, Angulo rehydrated only to 159 on the HBO scales while Cintron came into the ring a full ten pounds heavier at 169.

At the post fight press conference, Angulo’s promoter Gary Shaw spoke about the health of his fighter:

“On Tuesday Alfredo was not feeling great. I wanted him to pull out of the fight, which he refused. Today, while at lunch, Alfredo ordered lunch only to each three bites. I asked him, 'Do you still want to fight?' He said yes."

Wearing something slightly more sullen than DiBella’s self-professed “****-eating grin,” Angulo promoter Gary Shaw gave Cintron credit while simultaneously allowing that illness might have played a role in Angulo’s sub-par performance.

“Kermit, you won. If you fight Martinez like you fought tonight, you’ll be the 154-pound WBC champion with no problem,” he said. “I’m hurting and Alfredo is hurting. I’m going to tell you what happened because everyone wants to know what happened, however there are no excuses. This is Kermit’s night.

“On Tuesday, Angulo wasn’t feeling great, and I wanted him to pull out of the fight. But in Spanish, he kept saying ‘Contracto, contracto,’ which means he signed for the fight and he’s doing the fight no matter what.

“Then today at lunch, he ordered like he was going to eat pretty well at Chili’s, and then he wound up not eating lunch. He only took about three bites. I said ‘What’s wrong?’ and he said ‘Malo.’ And I said ‘Do you still want to fight?’ and he said ‘Yes.’ So, it’s not an excuse. I’m letting you know what happened.”

Gary Shaw is a fat scumbag, didn't he give lacy an excuse when Calzaghe beat the ever living **** out of him. Wasn't it something to do with the food he ate in great Britain!! lol!!! Gary Shaw and him throwing excuses before the fights start with his fighters!!! Gary Shaw is known to do this **** with his fighters when ever they step in the ring for a new challenge.
