That is an awesome story. I myself have none to share except that supposedly some heavyweight pro came into a boxing gym I was training at for free for one day. I never really interacted with him just saw him and he was huge. I really didn't know enough about boxing then.

I met Buster Douglas and his brother in law when I was a kid. The people I was wit were giddy over meetin somebody famous, but I didn't really give a **** cuz I hated him for havin beaten Tyson. It was weird.

I haven't had a bad encounter with a boxer, but one time I was in a London nightclub and Alan Minter was there. I was drunk and talking crap to him, asking what he was doing there and if I "could do a short Minterview, Alan". He was getting visibly irritated, which only made it worse because it was cracking me up. He should have just socked me in the mouth. I would have.

i saw Joan Guzman a few times in Gleason's Gym. All the trainer's joked around that he was Guzman brother but it looked exactly him. He was pro, his weight and everything else seemed to match up
