    I dont get it.

Not that it matters since Hatton is no longer allowed to hold at all.
I dont mind holding to an extent but when its used clearly and repeatedly as a tactic to prevent fighting then its annoying especially when used vs lesser competition.
And for those who defend it as brilliant boxing why not take the shot clock out of the NBA rules...how entertaining/sporting would that be.

to me, holding/clinching RIGHT after you punch is just as bad as actually running the whole fight. makes for horrible boxing no one wants to see and hurts the sport.

Well it definitely had a purpose... throw ur punches, then smother him so he cant throw back at you.. break up, do it again.

I didnt like it too much, and I hope he doesnt do it anymore... but there was a purpose in it, and it did do something.

Well to be fair now that I remeber the commentary on HBO did mention the holding but the SHO guys acted like Andrade was walking on water.

I've seen a lot of criticism for Berto's holding and rightfully so. At least Andrade's is tactical, he does it to keep his opponents in front of him, Berto holds for the sake of holding.

Yes. Although we criticised Berto for his holding here on boxingscene, the HBO commentators were not saying anything about it. I remember Max Kellerman was very harsh in his criticism of Hatton's holding in the past.

It the usual double standard. Kellerman likes Berto, but doesn't like Hatton.

Max also said the scorecards were wider in the Berto-Urango fight than the Hatton-Urango fight, but that was just another on of his lies. All three judges scored Hatton-Urango 119-109.
