Does anybody else think that standing at 5' 10'' and looking at the size of his frame, Amir Khan should be fighting at Welterweight or even Light Middle???? Rather then fighting blown up featherweights?!?!?! He even towers over Kotelnik and is 3 inces taller then Hatton. Margarito is only 1 inch taller at 5' 11''. The guy and Frank Warren are cheats and think us boxing fans are all ******.
Khan too big???

khan just has that build - i dont think anyones a cheat just becasue they're big for the weight. if anything we should recognize that fighters like haye, williams, margarito and corrales really pput themselves through the grinder, the dedication that they have to training and prep should be applauded.
no boxer is cheating by trying to make the lowest weight he possibly can, tats bull. boxing has weight categories not height categories.
anyways as for khan yes he does have a very big frame, hes alot taller than most of his opponents at LW and would probably be alot taller than most of his opponents at LWW and WW.
but despite the big frame he has a weak build, he is all bones and his legs are too thin, that is one of the reasons why he is so chinny, his legs go rubbery as soon as he is tagged. he also doesn't have much strength behind his punches, alot of his KO's have comew from speed and accumulation of punches.
it makes me laugh when people say the boy has skills - the one time he was put in there against a genuine LW/LWW of the same size and same height he couldn't even last a round. if he genuinely had good skills then he would know how to sit in the pocket and fight, ala mayweather vs corrales.
amir doesn't have skills at all he has physcial advantages that to date he has been allowed to use to bully smaller fighters who have been blown up to FW -
if he can make the weight theres no problem, amir is a lanky athletic built sort of guy who desont carry much fat anywayComment

No. Khan is not too big. There is nothing wrong with giving oneself every possible advantage, so long as you're doing it legally. In fact, it's smart. Khan is a seriously flawed fighter, and there are much bigger things for which one can pick on him other than his choice of weight class.Comment

Khan isn't that big, he walks around at 144lbs and finds it hard to put weight on. After weigh-ins he usually scales around 140lbs.
Kotelnik will be bigger and heavier than him.
No, Khan isn't cheating anyone. The kid can't get a break. People said he was too big at 135lbs (fair enough, he was big but not massive) so he moves up to fight for a title against a BIGGER man and he is STILL cheating us???
What about Mayweather fighting at 147lbs against Marquez who has never gone above 135lbs???
What about Hatton fighting at 140lbs but weighing in at close to 158lbs come fight night against much much smaller men like Malignaggi?
Because it's Khan you give him a hard time. If his name was John Smith the reception would be a lot different.Comment
