Arum wants the most weight drained version he can of Abraham. AA is starving for this fight and they know it so they are taking full advantage of it. Arum tries to make it seem like people are clamoring for the Mora fight.

This is f.cking b.s. I am a fan of Pavlik, but there is NO reason they shouldn't fight this year-both of their schedules are free!

So a week or 2 ago Arum said Dec/Jan, now it's Jan/Feb already. It really does feel like Arum is not trying to get it as early as possible, but as late as possible. Looks bad for the camp, and it may leave it not being a unification so a lot of pissed off fans looking back over the last couple of years thining WTF, why did you keep talking about it but never do it.

              better late than never

kelly pavlik has wanted this fight with abraham before he knocked out gary locket.. both men destroyed miranda and are both exciting fighters. pavlik seems to have gotten the cold shoulder from HBO after losing to hopkins and is still the best new boxer in the a very full division. I think this fight should be as important to the sport as the recent mega fights and anyone who follows the sport woukld agree.

i think just about everyone can see whats happening here, they're trying to get the most weight drained version of AA that is possible.

kelly is a fantastic fighter but his limitations have always been there to see, bernard just exposed them to the wider audience. kelly needs to develop his skills and imo is cherry picking the fights that he wants - take mora for instance a good elusive and slick fighter. one that will force kelly to think but ultimately he is little threat to kelly.

i expect kelly to take on someone like wright as well, wright like AA fights in the high guard. a fight like that would be a good tune up for kelly before he takes on AA and is a fight that i can deffo see happening.

Doesn't AA fight at 154 too? Why would he be weight drained at 160?

I agree. There's no real reason they can't fight this year, except for the crooked Bob Arum.
