Oh, I understand what you mean. But like another poster said, why should we the fans sacrifice anything?

If they really want to make the fight they will come to an agreement,if they really want it.That goes for the promoters and everyone involved not just the boxers themselves.

Dude, the fight will be made!It is just to big of a fight,to important, and of course to rich.If something, this fight selling a lot of ppvs might actually help.It will show that Mayweather still has the drawing power, and of course we already know that Pacquiao has it.

And what promoter can resist the kind of money this fight would generate?

If Pacquiao doesnt want to fight an African American Boxer in Floyd Mayweather. Then let him Fight Valero. I am sure that fight will do huge numbers.

but, in order for this fight to happen. It ain't the fighters that's gonna make this fight difficult to get a deal done. it's us fans that's gonna be the deciding factor whether this fight gets done or not! what do i mean, well, it's obviously gonna come down to n-u-m-b-e-r-s. Let me repeat that, n-u-m-b-e-r-s at the end of the day, whether you're a small business or a multi-million dollar company, it comes down to dollars and sense!

One fact we already know, is that there's a strong demand for this "fight-of-the-century" to happen.

Now, y'all are still wondering, what i meant by making sacrifices. Well, if you wanna see pac - floyd throwdown, don't f**kin' buy the floyd-jmm ppv! It's a simple thing to do, but, when 7/18/09 comes, y'all will be itching to order that fight.

Just think about it, if floyd does poorly on the ppv #s, that leaves one party having less leverage at the negotiation table. But, if both sides ends up having strong arguments, this **** will drag and drag until we end up with no fight at all!

So, the moral of the story is, don't buy the floyd-juanita ppv! Just wait for it the week after to view it!
i aint missing that fight *** you!!!!!!mayweather deserves more money than pac any way!!!

There is nothing big about this fight.Floyd-Shane is the real fight I want to watch because Shane destroyed Margaritto.I dont really want to watch beating a midget whose fame is based on beating an over the hill DelaHoya and Hatton. Those guys were not the same.

Floyd gains nothing fighting Pacquiao, what will you guys say after he finishes Pacquiao,'ah Pacman wasnt in his weight'

If you guys talk about Cotto now we are talking. If Manny proves himself at 147 then I will consider watching him. This idea of letting people starve then beating hungry men and calling yourself great has to stop.To hell with catchweights.Boxing weight classes are there for a reason move up or remain forever in your little weight class.Cotto,Mayweather,Mosley,Judah all these guys proved themselves at different weight classes

I just think they should just agree to a 50/50 split, this thread is just asking to much from us boxing fans.

It's not fair to blame pacman for this, everybody & anybody wanted to have a piece of him, the catchweights are just reasonable depending on who wanted to fight him. If hopkins wants to fight him then hopkins has to go down, if darchinyan wanted a fight with pacman then he has to go up uswell. Pacquiao is willing to fight anyone but everybody WANTS/NEEDS to fight him even more..

I don't think it will matter.

as long as floyd wins he will demand the bigger cut. the only way floyd will take the lesser cut is if marquez beats him.

                      1) roach said the dlh fight at 147 was a ONE time deal

                      2) pac officially weighed 138 lbs against hatton just a few weeks ago. when was the last time cotto/mosley/pbf officially weighed 138 lbs???

                      3) roach never intended for pac to campaign at WW

                      4) unless cotto/mosley/pbf agrees to 142, this fight shouldn't even be discussed. Get down to 142 lbs or GTFO and fight mosley

                      5) Cotto/mosley is a MW on fight night and Pac is a WW on fight night. IS THAT FAIR???

                      6) pac officially weighed 142 lbs against dlh. when was the last time cotto/mosley/pbf officially weighed 142 lbs???
