As much as people say they are tired of these Cotto vs Margs threads, they keep coming making new threads everyday..

Either lots of people are still pissed that Cotto fight, or they really deep down inside want Margarito to return soon..

Everyone should just wait and enjoy the fights that are happening..

As much as I want Kirkland to get out and resume his career, i know what he did was wrong so it's gonna be a while..But I ain't making that many threads about it either..

anyways had to vent a little this morning

I liked Kirkland but he fell off, what exactly happened to him and why isn't he fighting anymore?

      What's the 411?

Well sir, he exactly didn't "fall" off but he caught a gun charge while on probation.. doesn't look good when an ex-con gets caught with buying a gun.. not once but TWICE..

I know a guy who does work with GBP and he told me saturday night that Kirkland's best deal is looking at 1 year behind bars. I'm hoping he could get out a lil sooner as time served but they picked him up on a violation so I don't know if the judge would grant that..

Also dude told me that GBP are just looking at the situation and offer support, just no money since they gave him like a 35k signing bonus and a fat fight contract when he left Shaw..

Kirk ****ed up but he's still young, and hopefully if he gets out in another year it won't take him too long to be at the edge of the top like he was ...

See the problem is mainly the way boxing is being brought up today. ALL THIS BS ABOUT BEING UNDEFEATED...see for me that ain't ****, really. if u fight the best u are bound to get an L, and there's nothing wrong with that, come back and kick some ass. Boxing's greatest ever have a couple of Ls, yet no one says anything about that. But today if u lose once u are shot and whatever. Reality is that in order for u to be great it is most often necessary to lose once or twice and see how u come back, fight the guy again and whatnot is all part of boxing.

This is why i sometimes hate to talk to some who think that being undefeated is like the greatest thing ever to accomplish in this sport, when it is actually very easy considering u have so many belts and prize fights and avoid real threats.

Cotto lost(even if up to this day i still think margo cheated) and that will stay on his record with an * or not, it really doesn't matter. It is up to him now to see how far can he go now

I hear you on that one.. it's not about being undefeated anymore..that's just Floyd's thinking.. He'll be more humble once a fighter does take it there and gives him an L...Roy was the same way, but he's much more mature about it and understands the game now... to me i think it's more of a gratification for a figher when he does lose here and there but is able to will his way back at the top.. un undefeated fighter may think he has that same feeling but everyone knows when your knocked down and counted out in the ring or in life, it's sweeter when you come back and prove that you do belong

yeah man. Here's the thing u think there would be so many champions and so many undefeated prospects, contenders, etc, if there was only one champion per weight and just the original divisions?
