I think clottey is too strong for berto and the size differnce would lead too a late stoppage. Remember berto was hurt by collazo and cosme

Berto has been getting hate forever now, and it's the same at every message board. He's only been a pro since Dec of 2004 and he's already fought some top 10 guys, what other pro's from those Olympics has done anything? Seems to me people ain't giving the new generation of fighters the benefit of the doubt, they want everyone to be a prime Roy Jones or something.

Yea the Berto hate is unnecessary...he beat Collazo and beat a durable jr welterweight.

Yeah he needs to step up to better fighters and I expect that to happen.

The holding was too much but Urango didn't have **** to offer, period.

Berto is good. It's just time for Collazo to get a rematch.

let's be serious, berto is way faster and has way more talent than urango. there is no excuse for the clinching from him.

yes. he is clearly a class above urango but has to clinch to beat urango? that's disgraceful.

no, there's more factors in the equation than just winning.

                He beat Collazos ass
                he didn't beat collazo's ass.

and just walked through one of the top 140 lb fighters in the world.
                EXACTLY!!! a 140 lber, not a 147 lber!!!!

Top prospect and the skies the limit with young Andre Berto. He would eat Clottey alive.
clottey destroys berto. any elite WW destroys berto. I even think Zab Judah could beat Berto.

I'm not asking him to go toe to toe. I'm asking him to box! Use some in-&-out movement, use some feints, set up punches w/ jabs, set some traps... YOU KNOW BOXING!!!

Was the holding dissapointing, yes, because I thought he didn't even really need to do that, but hey he won pretty much every round and did what he wanted all fight.
winning the fight doesn't justify berto clinching against a guy he is clearly a class above, in terms of both weight and talent.

Im not gonna say he's gonna beat the top guys in the division because Im just gonna have to wait and see, but with his abilities he might be able too.
he's got all the abilities in the world, but he didn't showcase anything but quickness and clinching. he needs a real boxing coach that teaches him how to box, not clinch.
