Who should get the Lion's share in boxing matches. To be honest I believe winners should get 60% and Loser gets 40%, I mean does that not seem fair?

I agree 100%.. a Pot should be up for grabs.. with the WINNER getting a larger % of the booty.. makes sense.. and it would get rid of guys "just in there to survive and collect a pay check"

I am thinking the extra motivation would make for some extra entertaining fights..

I agree. It would make fighters more hungry for the Ws. The fans would be the winners here.

I've always believed the larger share should go to the winner, and it does make sense.

But promoters and managers see $$$ signs and chances to grab some more of that mula that can go to the fighters. So contracts are drawn to make sure only the top draw gets the bigger share and the most money is kept by the main fighter and his team.

After the promoters cut, of course.

I agree it should be 60-40 to the winner....would motivate people to win more...and stop people using money issues as an excuse for a match not being able to be negotiated
