I don't thing Angulo will be back. Sure, he can beat good fighters but I can't see him ever beating a top guy in the division. The guy fights one way and has been doing it for a long time, you can't change him to be more defensive/boxer type. Any top fighter with good movement is going to beat him up. He is just too slow and his power really isn't going to mow down anyone with a B or higher rated chin. No hate but I seen this coming miles away(not against cintron but against a guy a little bit better).

Good points Check. Do you think Angulo has a chance to revitalize his defensive skills by maybe learning from a defensive type of trainer?

I'm know i'm gunna get burned for sayin this buuut, i like Cintron... i know he's a bit of an emo, but he's got abilities and wants to show he's got heart even tho he lost (two Marg fights) If he did run into the Tornado he would look like a pretty good prospect.

I would say after his losses to marg he has learned a bit from people trying to pressure him...i would say he still needs to move his head a bit more and not get caught so much...

... the thing that kills me i was looking all over to watch the fight... no place in my area was plying it... anyone got a post i can watch?

Thanks for the thread bro...i know my boys not perfect but it's good to see him get a lil respect.

What happened to Anuglo having no regard for human life. Another hypejob exposed. Anuglo is nothing more than a bum, seriously. He will never amount to anything.

Angulo didn't look like he usually does (despite the gay ass collar), during last night's fight. But I do have to give it up to Kermit.. he did what he had to do.. He looked terrible against Martinez, but tonight he had a good plan.. started to get tired in the later rounds but ****** it up and fought back...

I never thought Angulo was going to turn the 154 divion upside down, but i was surprised that he finally got outboxed. I thought there was a reason Shaw selected Cintron. ANgulo will be back but only on a select type of fighters who will stand toe to toe with him..

Yes, props to Cintron for the win, but not sure how big of a confidence boost this was as he was seriously fading in the second half of the fight. Not sure if it was physical or mental.

By the way, not that it matters, but it should have been a draw on Lederman's card.

Angulo was 15-0 about to fight Mayorga and then he fights Cintron, who some say should only have a loss against Martinez. Should El Perro have had a couple more fights with B-level fighters?

EDIT: I almost forgot...some would say Mayorga and Cintron are B-level.

Cintron lost twice to martinez.. he got Ko'd and he got outboxed. Plaster or not, Margs had a crazy workrate, which is what caused kermit to break during thier two fights. Angulo doesn't have that same rate and his power leaves the longer he is in the fight..

But i see your point, maybe they should have had him fight some more B level fighters, but i'm thinking shaw and co were drinking some of thier own koolaide and wanted him to be one of the division's belt holders by the end of the year... THat was GBP plan for Kirkland before he got knocked

Perro is too slow to be anything but a pinata at 154.

If you're slower than Cintron you got serious problems.
