He looked a little weight drained, but the result would have been the same. I always thought Cintron had the ability to box against Margarito, but he would get discouraged and the result would be the same against Angulo. Last night, he proved me wrong to a point, but I still think he gets beat by any elite WW or even MW, like Williams. Honestly, Angulo is nothing more than a strong and solid prospect, but it is a descent win for Cintron.

True but, from his last fight, I'd say this was a huge/much needed performance/ win.

I think he might have been alittle drawn, just by his demeanor during the introductions, and also he wasn't putting punches together at all....

On the other hand he finished the fight strong, and he never really let up on the pressure, so maybe it was just the fact that Cintron was a better boxer than anyone he has faced up until this point.


I'll go with the latter, since I like to give fighters credit for what they do. I don't like Cintron, but all credit to him for getting the job done.

No doubt, seeing how Martinez outboxed Cintron, I figured a puncher's chance was all he had against Angulo. When Cintron fought Margarito from a distance and boxed, he connected and made Margarito miss, but he could never keep it up for a whole round. Since Angulo has a similar style to Margarito, I thought the result would be similar to Cintron-Margarito 1 & 2.

Yep, looked like the same Angulo to me too. I predicted Cintron over Angulo but i also predicted fireworks, instead Cintron boxed pretty well and even had Angulo visibly hurt like twice if i can remember.

I'm not a fan but I'm sure Cintron shut some of his critics up with that performance.

Cintron be fighting the best too when ever he goes back and fourth from weight classes, most if not all of us had him losing to Martinez but Cintron wanted to fight Martinez. He wanted the best! And Martinez and Santos are probably the best 154 poudners right now.

Even thought he looked dead tired in the last two rounds I agree, It should shut up some of the critics.
