Berto did get an unanimous decision, but did not impress enough to bait the big guys in the division. I really dont know how would he perform against an A+ fighter or a big puncher like Edwin Valero should he move north to WW. As far as Cotto, SSM, PBF and PW, he is in no way on their league yet.

Berto along with Angulo is another hype job created by HBO. Whats sad is the best young fighters in the sport are not getting exposure like jorge linares, edwin valero, urbano antillon, & vanes martirosyan.

U get overrated, forcefully created stars like Berto becoming just that a star, before being a great figther.

Shouldnt u be a great fighter first then become a star?

The one fighter that hbo did get right is victor ortiz.

The one fighter whose closest to breaking out as a star & can actually fight is sitting in federal custody.

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Boxers 2, Plodders 0.

That was the final score Saturday night from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, where stickers-and-movers Andre Berto and Kermit Cintron out-slicked and out-skilled foes Juan Urango and Alfredo Angulo en route to a pair of unanimous decisions as the co-features on HBO’s “Boxing After Dark” card.

Following the script that has now earned him 25 straight wins, Berto took nine or 10 of 12 rounds on all cards in retaining his WBC welterweight title against a game but overmatched Urango, who’d taken a break from the 140-pound ranks – where he holds the IBF belt – for a shot at a second championship seven pounds north.
