Berto isn't that bad. But he does remind you of a bigger Mayweather, the clinching and the lunging fast shots. I just don't think Berto will be able to fight like that for too long, he eats alot of punches to the body and head.

A lot of people gave Berto a lot of **** because they think he lost his fight against Collazo, but that fight actually made me have a higher opinion of him in certain aspects. He gutted it out in the 12th round and fought back accordingly in that fight and we saw his talent on display. In this fight tonight, it's like he took a whole bunch of steps backward. I was really getting annoyed with the constant Ruiz-like tactics. And that tells me, that his stamina isn't up to par. Shane Mosley clinched a lot in his fight with Margarito at the beginning, but it was intelligent and will-imposing clinching. The clinching that Berto did was the don't hit me on the inside type clinching. To me, this guy is on barrowed time with that strap and Shane Mosley should have jumped at the opportunity to take it. But now that Dibella saw how lackluster Berto looked tonight, that opportunity may be too late.

Have you seen his last fight? He's a robot who would get picked apart by good boxers and unlike Cotto, Berto can fight a full 12 rounds....

I have been very unimpressed with Berto with his last three fights... I think he has a very good chance against the elite in the Welterweight division and I dont put him in that category. No way he beats: Cotto, Mosley, Clottey, or Mayweather...
