Carlos "El Indio" Quintana suffered another setback.
After a strong cold that had him away from the gym for three days, the former WBO welterweight champion (147 lbs.) looked obligated to step off from the fight programed for June 5 with Danny Perez.
"I was weak, with a fever and a weak body. I couldn't train for a frew days and just two weeks before the fight, we had to inform Lou DiBella (Quintana's promoter) that it was not intelligent to fight on", commented yesterday Jose Bonilla, Quintana's trainer.
This is the second time in the year thad Quintana steps off from his ring return. Last January, he cancelled his participation on a card when he suffered an injury on the ankle while he ran.
"For a boxer like Perez, we have to be well prepared, but we had to stop training and we can't like that", said Bonilla, at the same time he mentioned Quintana had been taking medications.
Bonilla also trusts that Quintana will be ready to fight by the end of june or early July.

I knew you would respond quickly. I'm just joking man. I like Quintana. He's underrated like Collazo and Sergei in my opinion.
