.....Are you guys starting to **** your pants?? It seems to me like the Haye chatter has kind of calmed down as reality sets in. Is it the fact that Wlad seems to be genuinely pissed for maybe the first time in his career, or the realization that Haye is in with a fighter that's far superior to anyone he has ever been in the ring with?
Serious question for Haye fans

...Seriously, you aren't suddenly feeling like he's bit off more than he can chew? I am getting the vibe that Haye is even feeling that way. I originally felt he may have a punchers chance. Now I think he's in trouble of not getting out of the first round. He's talking about not sitting on the end of Wlads jab and how he has to take chances to get inside. If he employs that strategy and gets caught it's over before it begins. Also, I'm not so sure he drops Wlad even if he lands clean. Wlad's chin is underrated IMO and Haye hasn't proven he's a big time heavyweight puncher.Comment

....Yeah, you're right. No chatter on these boards about this fight and the ticket sales ****** too. 60K is a joke right???
Get the **** out of here. Haye fans are very very quiet lately.

Boxing fans just want to see an exciting HW fight. Thats all. If Haye loses, he loses. I can garauntee that more boxing fans will follow Haye's HW career than both Klit's. Nothing against them, its just that they seriously bore the **** out of people.
And before you come with "If you cant appreciate the science, go watch MMA", I'm more of a fan of the technical aspect of the sport. but not when it comes to the HW division. I dont want to see guys the size of Basketball and Football players jabbing and looking more frightened than **** victims in the ring.Comment

Chat has faded somewhat your right. I'd like to see some more.
Haye does have a reasonably good chance but he's definitely clear under dog.
The worst thing about it all for me is he will not help the division as much as he could have due to the 2x re match clause. If Wlad doesn't get him 2nd time around (unlikely) his big brother certainly will.
I think some chat will pick up again and I'm supporting David, but he's set himself up for climbing a mountain and it could be over in a flash at that level with a big jabby pretty powerful huge HW.Comment

Getting 'the vibe' from where? Wishful thinking?
Nah... nothing has changed. It's a tall order, but Wlad is beatable and Haye has as good a chance of doing it as anybody. Haye is well aware that he's ******** his career. If he doesn't prove good enough I don't think he has any interest fighting below that level; he'll just sink all his time into his (already very successful) promotions business. Sometimes you have to just throw the dice if someone hands them to you.
As to the rematches I'm more interested in what terms and conditions Haye had to agree to, particularly regarding location and purse. Haye would always have taken the fights anyway, if he wins a Wlad rematch and then Vitali would be far bigger fights than he could possibly make against anyone else. Face it guys, if Haye beat Wlad twice and then took on Vitali it would be the biggest HW fight since.. well, when exactly? Lewis v. Tyson?Last edited by The_Visitation; 05-30-2009, 01:00 PM.Comment
