You can spin it however you choose, though.

But I haven't made the ridiculous proposition you're trying to attribute to me here,

, and you have made the ridiculous propositions you've typed elsewhere in this thread.
You said that neither weight nor height is the proper measurement.

You said that you can gauge 2 fighters by taking a good look at them and then add some common sense.

Take my advice and stop digging the hole deeper.

I was referring to the hypothetical instance of Mayweather-Pavlik as opposed to the actual instance of Mayweather-Marquez. You know this.

If I'm digging a hole, it's to lay your sorry ass down in it.

So now it's only occasionally that you must use vision and common sense... lol

        Whatever fits your agenda.

Look at Leonard and Hearns. What does your eye and common sense tell you there?
It tells me that Williams and Pavlik should be fighting cruiserweights at the minimum.

Cotto should be fighting Jr Welters.

Mosley should be fighting Jr Middles.

Marquez and Pacquiao should be fighting Jr Lightweights

Mayweather should be fighting guys between 5'5" and no higher than 5'7", They have to fight at his specific weight class of 148lbs or less on fight night weight, and only on fight night. They also have to be moving up in weight on fight night.

On a serious note. Why to so many ****ing people in here feel that Floyd deserves special treatment over every other fighter? Every other fighter on this planet goes by the weigh in weight, not fight night weight. Stop making new ****ing rules for this guy.

It is getting just plain ******. He is either a Jr Welterweight or a welterweight. Pick one and make him go by the rules like everyone else. It has gotten silly.

            Here's the thread of conversation,

Again, the difference in frame between Marquez and Mayweather doesn't resemble the difference you would see between Mayweather and Pavlik.

            In short, common sense.
It's clear from the lineage of the exchange that I'm referring to the hypothetical instance of Mayweather-Pavlik as opposed to the actual instance of Mayweather-Marquez.

            Bear in mind.

We are discussing the ******ed theory that Leonard-Hearns was comparable to a hypothetical Mayweather-Pavlik matchup.

There are anomalies and freaks in boxing. Paul Williams and Tommy Hearns are such instances of skinnyass looking, rangy, long guys who fought at weights with stockier, shorter guys.

Pavlik isn't just skinnier and taller than Floyd, he was not in any way remotely meant for Floyd Mayweather, being that Pavlik has never fought lower than light-middle, which is above where Floyd should even be fighting at this stage of his career (147). The suggestion is absurd. You look at Pavlik and Mayweather, and you know they'd never match up in anything but a daredevil megafight freakshow (were Pavlik ever to become that kind of star and would that Floyd would ever take that risk).

You look at Mayweather and Williams 18 months ago, on the other hand, and you can see how they could about match up...

Now, if I have an agenda, lay it out for me. We already know what you're about.

So in some cases you take a good look at the fighters and adds some common sense. In other cases you need to weigh them in?

              This thread delivers.

We were referring specifically to an extreme example proposed in Pavlik-Mayweather as opposed to Mayweather-Marquez.

A glance at Mayweather and Marquez side by side and a glance at Pavlik and Mayweather side by side would tell you all you need to know about which is by far the more monstrous differential - and that's the point we were debating, in case you need help untangling the mess somebody else is attempting to make of it.

In the case of an outageous proposition like Pavlik-Mayweather being equivalent to Mayweather-Marquez? Absolutely.

Remember that this conversation evolved from your ludicrous thread premise in the first place.

I'll be sure to take a good look and add some common sense if pwill fights Cotto at 147. I guess that must be one of those instances when your procedure is the proper way to gauge fairness to outrage. Or maybe not.

Well, Paul Williams has actually fought at 147. We know this. You look at it with everything you know about Williams and Cotto, and it isn't that unfeasible. It could be made if Cotto/Arum wanted it and provided Paul could still make welter.

You look at everything you know about Mayweather and Pavlik and you know they aren't fighting, ever.

You look with your eyes at Mayweather and Marquez side by side and Pavlik and Mayweather side by side and you clearly see which matchup features a monstrous size differential.

If meeting at a weight is all that matters to a legitimate matchup, why are you bawling at Mayweather-Marquez?
