    Cotto without the Margarito loss...

    Where would Cotto's career be now if he didnt lose to Margarito? He was building a lot of momentum especially after the Mosley fight, He was the man that would go on and challenge Dela hoya had he won the fight margarito and his PPV numbers were getting higher and better.

    Most UK fans were first introduce to Cotto when he fought Kelson Pinto and i remember Barry Mcguigan saying he was the real deal and they should do well in staring Ricky Hatton away from him because he would destroy hatton.

    He has done well over the years with the sort of opponents and fights that he has been in and i was particularly impress with the way he destroy Quitana(I cried for him after watching him take those bodyshots).

    But if he had beaten Margarito it seems it might have lead to a much better and hyped up Cotto instead of the little "Coverage" he seem to be getting at the moment, He could have been in Pacquiao's shoes now.

    But how would his career pan out without a margarito defeat???

      Cotto's ability will get him the big fights eventually, it's about being patient.

      Clottey -> Mosley 2 -> Pacman

            He would have fought DLH, Pac would have fought JMM, PBF would be coming out of retirement for Pacman, and Floyd would have fought Cotto and Mosley, instead Floyd is tuning up with Marquez before taking on those challenges.
