I always thought someone like Ike or Hearns can beat Mr boat buyer.

Both have excellent jabs and will keep it in his face throughout the fight. Both are big and strong enough to bully him around. Both got enough power to hurt him.

Depends on your strong points. However, the fighter with the best chance has to have ATLEAST two of these three things. And they can't be decent at them, they need to be GREAT at them.

      1. Jab. And they need to throw it in pairs and trips. It can't be something they use when it feels right. They damn-near have to force it. And strong and fast.

      2. The ability to time speed. Use lateral and head movement to avoid his pot-shots and allow yourself open opportunity. Defending his speed will be key. Do this by using a Winky Wright style defense whe he gets in punching mode. Move, reset and jab away. Countering will be key and if you avoid his rather timid shots for the first few rounds (which isn't because he's a *****, but because he figures fighters out), you can allow yourself the chance to give him something to worry about.

      3. Body attack. But not a mauling style. You have to hit him while he bends at the waist, becayse a stomach rarely moves with the shoulder role style. Score with it, jab while you back out and you get the credit. Winning rounds wil work if you're in and out.

Fighters, in my opinion, with the best chance.

Manny Pacquiao, who has both 2 and 3, 1 when he uses it.

Miguel Cotto, who has all three on his best nights.

Not to say I think either would or wouldn't do it.

I don't have to see any of your ******ed posts anymore. IGNORED, go back to hating on Calzaghe and any other European or white boxers or whatever you have a grudge against.

Unless youre way bigger than Floyd, you will have to be able to adjust just as well as he does. Floyd can fight different ways and gives different looks from round to round.

To beat Mayweather, you have to run from him. He runs from you and you run from him and if you are lucky, you might get a decision by attacking him in the last 10 seconds of the match.

Well first off.. We gotta establish the fact that there are some fighters who won't beat Mayweather even if they follow the perfect formula. You have to be a great athlete. A special fighter. I think Mosley could do it. Pacquiao as well. And what they'd have to do is use volume. They have to try and outwork Floyd, to keep him on the defensive.

Now, like I said- that formula won't work for anybody who has tried it. But Castillo made it work in their first fight. He was special.

A guy like Hearns would have the best chance to beat Floyd

To beat Floyd you need to be naturally bigger and taller, have a powerful, fast and accurate jab that you keep throwing, you also need to have good all round skills and not leave yourself open for counters, and you need the power to get his respect

I think he would spend his time on the defensive and try to counter punch and move.
