I hate all promoters, as a general rule. But why do you hate Shaw so much, particularly? I would think Don King or Bob Arum would be more deserving..

What do you mean? Fighters would dream to sign with Shaw, one thing he will do is get you on television, the only bad thing for the fighter is he will put you in tough fights, great for the fans though. He is a great fan's promoter in that he cares about the competitive match, not trying to put you in noncompetitive fights.

Everytime I see Shaw's Porky face I want to piss on him. He is disgusting and makes me glad I'm not a greasy slob...I also can't stand Arum's wrinkled lying face, he looks like a crook.

Gary Shaw controls TV and as a result, controls boxing. There is no way in hell you can get on TV without working something out with Shaw. He has almost all of the Showtime dates, a great deal of the HBO dates and even is listed in the credits of the Contender.

As a result, however, he can dictate the terms of any contract he sees fit and if you don't want to play by his rules, then you won't be allowed to fight his fighters.

The stories I've heard regarding the terms of some of his contracts have been otherworldly. He has the power and he definitely knows it.

I am a fan of Angulo, Rafa Marquez, and I like what I see from Tony DeMarco. But other than that I don't really care for any of the rest of the fighters in his stable. I don't have any use for Chad Dawson, Vic Darchinyan, and Vernon Forrest. I go out of my way to root for those guys to lose.

shaw seems ok, doesnt protect his fighters and gets them tv spots

whats wrong with him? i mean promoters are all bastards as a rule, but shaw seems decent

Shaw does have that face you want to smack but he isn't as bad as other promoters.
