More than anything, i hate the way he CONSTANTLY talks about money, and how much he has. In the real world, Floyd dont have **** compared to most rich people out there. He's not even the richest dude in boxing. I guess this is what happens when an ignorant fool becomes a millionaire. His behavior and antics are actually quite embarrasing. Sometimes, I even feel embarrased for him while watching him shoot off at the mouth.
Why do you dislike/hate floyd mayweather???

**** you, he is just like your avatar in many ways.
i cant "hate" him, because i dont even know him, for all i know he could be a cool ass person, how the **** does anyone know.
and it doesnt bother me that he doesnt fight the best, it doesnt hurt me, just hurts his lagacy. i dont care about it, there are plenty of other good fights that can be made without him.
he makes a ton of money fighting the people he does, so what if he doesnt fight the best, he wants money, and thats fine.Comment

I don't hate him, I respect his ability, but I do dislike him. These are my reasons:
1. His lack of respect for other fighters, including ATGs.
2. His avoiding the real challenges and cherry-picking. The perfect example of this is his fighting the lightweight champ, forcing him to move up in weight, instead of fighting a welterweight champ like Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, or Andre Berto.
3. That he will never, never leave the town he calls home, Las Vegas, to fight anywhere else. He always wants to have all the advantages, such as home advantage.
4. His enormous ego and false pride.
5. His lack of reedeemable personal qualities. For example, Pacquiao loves his people and devotes a lot of time and money to doing good deeds such as giving Thanksgiving turkeys to the poor. The Klitschkos donate money to build schools in Africa. The best Mayweather can do is throw money to the crowd at a nightclub.
6. His shallowness. He's very materialistic, spending his spare time going around buying ***elry. He lacks depth of character.Comment

I agree. His actions do rub a lot of people the wrong way. He can tone it down a bit, but he and many others won't agree. Basically, he is who he is.The "Money May" side to him can be annoying and downright disrespectful. Take for instance his talk about how much money he makes when he is having a discussion with Brian Kenny and Floyd putting Brian down for his lower salary. That's nonsense. I guess Floyd thinks he is better than a Soldier. And compared to Bill Gates, if we go by Floyd's philosophy, Floyd is a servant boy. Next time Floyd wants to brag about how much money he has and how much better he is compared to people less than him because of money...let's see what he does when his toilet needs fixing; his electricity is cut off; or when he is ill and needs to see a Doctor.
What is apparent, is he does appear to have a Dr Jekyll/Mr. Hyde persona.
He can be a charismatic, joyful individual at one time, then an ego driven, self serving, vitriol-spewing character the next.
Guess it keeps fans and non-fans alike watching.
It doesn't affect my life directly in the least, so I don't take it personal.
He'll have to be accountable for his actions when the time comes, as does everyone.
This world would be a boring place if all individuals acted nice and humble all the time OR angry and pissed at the world for no reason all the time.
I respect your thoughts.
Yes indeed it does. At least, for the sake of boxing. Even if it turns out to be the last greatest fight of our era.
I do hope the fight comes off.
I feel the same. "Hate" is an inappropriate emotional expression -- especially when one has never walked in another person's shoes nor has been affected by them in any way, shape or form.

This is a ridiculous thread. Most of the things listed in this thread have absolutely no legitimacy. I could just as easily start a thread that says "Why I hate Pacquaio: He ducked the best fighters available in Nate Campbell, Juan Diaz, Joel Casamayor and Joan Guzman; He fought David Diaz instead of the above listed fighters; He waited until the end of Oscar De La Hoya's career to fight him; He wants to dictate the terms of his fights; He won't fight a third fight with Marquez.
or I could start a thread that says "why I hate Cotto: he dodged Paul Williams; he dodged Mayweather at 140; he fights dirty (low blow against Judah); he can't take a punch, etc., etc.
These comments about Pacquaio and Cotto are as ridiculous as everything said on this thread.Comment

1.His trash talking
If he's number one I think he should be humbler because his trash talking makes him look arrogant.
2. His Overrated ness + his trash talking
It's just annoying. If he hates how he is being rated, why not go out there and fight the best? The guys that if he beats, would shut his critics up. Look at Margarito, Cotto, Mosley, Pac and Marquez. No one complains about their competition because they always fight the best.
Oscar was a great win for his career but of course there will be critics. So why not fight Mosley or Cotto instead of Hatton right after?
What does he do instead? Trash talk and make himself look like an ass hole!
3. His trash talking (about how he's number 1) + his contradictory statements.
Uhhhhhhh. He has the gal to tell us that he's number one. He starts trash talking other boxers who we are fans of (making us hate him even more) then he doesn't fight them and he makes BAD arguments to tell us why the other guys aren't good enough (and crap compared to him) and then thinks that he pwns us in arguments.
4.His bad attitude in press conferences. (Floyd brings things too far)
Well I know that its alright in some cases but Floyd just does it to the point that if we're routing for the other guy, Floyd makes us HATE him.
I know some people trash talk constantly, but when you do it to the point that it makes us HATE him and wish that he get's beat up, then you're just asking for hate threads and posts.
5. "It's all about the money"
Thats what he always freaking says and that just tells us that he doesn't care about what other people think of him or the boxing world when as p4p king, you're supposed to look at what the boxing world wants and needs.
6. He complains that people don't like him and he complains that no one gives him respect.
But he's not a like able person and his respect goes out the window when you don't fight the best and shut the critics up. Then he complains and makes himself look obnoxious, arrogant and childish.
There...thats why I don't like him.Comment
