According to Australia's "The Daily Telegraph", Ruslan Chagaev (25-0-1, 17 KOs) has yet again withdrawn from the Nikolai Valuev (50-1, 34 KOs) after contracting hepatitis. The Daily Telegraph writes that Australian heavyweight Kali Meehan (35-3, 29 KOs) will now challenge Valuev for the WBA belt in Helsinki, Finland.
Meehan's manager George Christodoulou: "Everything looks set to go; we are just in the final stages of negotiations. There was talk Lamon Brewster may take the fight. Someone else said Evander Holyfield was flying over. But we are confident Kali will be fighting for the title."
