Why the hell does Ortiz/Salita/Khan deserve title shots?

You can say it blah blah blah, but what did Mayweather do to get his shot against Hernandez? or Holyfield agianst Qawi etc.

If this were the case you could just reycle opponents for champions because they are always going to be more accomplished than prospects. If they win and prove to be competent champions then why shouldn't they get the shot?

Urango is moving up to fight Berto and might stay at 147 if he wins and he hasn't called for unification so it's doubtful any unification will happen.

I think Ortiz crossed from top prospect to serious contender when he blew out Arnaoutis and I think he is ready to hold a title, he might not be ready for the elite like Pacquiao but he is ready for the Kotelniks of 140 IMO and maybe even the Urangos.

I agree that titles are too easy to get nowadays, maybe 20 or 30 years ago he'd need more time to develop but he's ready for it in today's world of boxing IMO.
Shouldnt the elite be the titlist? That makes the most since
