i can see what you're saying about tyson.

he actually reminds me a lot of floyd patterson and jose torres, as far as where he keeps his hands and how he moves in with the jab. cotto (sometimes) uses that old school peek-a-boo style, where as tyson had a newer, more developed style.

When Cotto is boxing smart, it reminds me of Fernando Vargas boxing smart. Regadless, I think there skill set is very similar. Power, speed, and boxing ability seem to be very close. I think Prime Vargas would beat Prime Cotto 8/10 times though due to size.
