Are We Really Going To Talk About Floyd or...?

Floyd & Pac for the next forever? For the past few months there has been a million Floyd threads or post on here every day and next in line is Pac. The fact is that even now, the JMM fight is nearly 2 months off. It gets draining speaking about this stuff non stop like the fight is happening on Saturday. Not only that but the talk will be even more insane after Floyd beats JMM. For the next 2 weeks after that we will be talking about how Floyd would get crushed by Pac and vice versa. Then for another month or longer after that we will be talking about how Floyd is scared to fight Pac and is making outrageous demands and vice versa. Then they will sign the fight and for 3 more months we will be talking about who will win, why the fight shouldnt happend, who has a better resume, this that and this and that. Were basically going to have 7 or 8 more months of what we are doing now. A million threads like this a day and weve just had like 4 months of it. Then if Floyd wins it will get even bigger when talking about if he will fight the WW's, will he win, is Mosley too old now, and so on.

Thats the 1 thing I hate about boxing. It takes too long. The top guys fight every 4 months at best and alot of times its nearly double. The UFC seems like they are like the WWE. They have a huge PPV nearly every month. They promote there guys much better. In boxing its like we talk about the same guys over and over again. The other big deal is losing. UFC can hype there stuff better because there guys can lose 4 times and still be considered the top dog who everyone will love while if you lose once in boxing then you immideatly have to start from scratch and everything youve done until now means nothing because you were always overrated. Weve got some solid fights coming up this week with 4 pretty young stars and we're hardly talking about it. Boxing needs to make more fights and more 2nd and 3rd level stars. They need to put togehter much better cards. Boxing needs better cards more then the UFC because in MMA theyre are like a million different styles so every fight is different. Every boxing match is just one or 2 ways so if you have bums then no one wants to see that. Not to mention they get like 7 televised fights on the UFC card. I also like the fact that they show there big time PPV fights on basic TV not long after the PPV. You can watch big time fights or KO's on ****e.

Boxing needs to step up. If they get rid of the promoters then the sport will be 10x better. Bring back the 1 belt and everything is fine. Sure some guys will cry now but its no different then the NBA age limit. Soon after everyone will be ok and get use to it. Then we will get to see who the real champs are, theyre will hardly be any so called cherry picking, and we will always have top guys fighting eachother

Everyone was demanding that Floyd return to the ring.

Yes, even those who preferred he stay retired.

He's finally back to bring some excitement to the sport.

Now, about the frequency of fighters' activity...

My guess is boxers don't fight more often, particularly at the pro level because most are comfortable with what they earn. Enough so that they don't have to step in the ring every2 or 3 months or so to bring home the bacon.

      That's just my guess.

But your post makes a lot of sense.

Does anyone find it entirely ironic that DLT is calling for people not to talk about Floyd?

I've never seen a one trick pony ban himself from using his only trick.

            You go girl!

But yes, all of your points are valid, UFC can even hype street fighters like that big black dude what ever his name is.
