What if Hatton comes back and KO:s Mosley and then outpoints Pac with 120:108 in a rematch? Then what? Move up to 160 and fight Abraham for Hatton ?Comment

If Floyd Mayweather got knocked out brutally by Marquez he'd initially lose the luster behind his bad-guy image. He's allowed, in a way, to be as much of a money chasing ******* in front of the camera as he wants because he's never lost- and totes this constantly. A vicious knock-out would change that.
I think Floyd would have ONE fight to establish the loss was simply a bad style match-up, or however his team chose to spin it, and keep his drawing power. Knowing his mentality he'd either come back better than ever, or look gun-shy.
Basically, in Floyd's first fight since his KO he'd have to show us more passion, hunger, and drive than ever. If he did, he'd keep the majority of his draw ability. If, however, he looked a little less sure, hesitant, if the fight was boring or close; well, I think he'd be bumped down to a Mosley level fighter. Someone respected by many, a name the casual fan has heard of, but not someone who is going to command top draw every time against an elite- and someone who can't afford to lose again or fall off the radar completely.Comment

I don't see anyway Mayweather could lose or it could be a boring fight but if it did happen, then ofcourse his legacy will take a huge hit.Last edited by Doctor_Tenma; 05-28-2009, 04:11 PM.Comment

I don't think it would knock his drawing power as such, but it would most likely knock his power in negotiations. He could redeem himself from it though and make up for it.Comment
