Floyd Mayweather: "If we ever fought, I’d beat the **** out of Manny Pacquiao."

let me explain something to you people on here about this fight...i have read so many posts and threads about this potential fight and i have given my opinion on it also...when it comes to a boxing pugilist, i have not seen any better in that ring than floyd mayweather jr...he knows how to read his opponent better than anybody in that ring...he has proven this...manny pacquiao has to come to terms about fighting this man...pacman has a lot of momentum right? according to manny fans on here, he is going to give floyd so many problems right? he is going to knock floyd out right?

i have read arguments talking about the judah fight, and how manny won't gas out and he throws punches from so many awkward angles and his power is so huge and floyd won't stand and trade with him, and floyd will "run" to get a decison over him and yada yada yada right?

i am telling you people right now at 09:28 in the morning, that you guys who are picking manny are doing NOTHING MORE than hyping this fight up, that is all...and that is great...this fight needs to be hyped up, because manny deserves the hype he is getting...he's a proven warrior, a one of a kind fighter...

but make no mistake about it, floyd mayweather junior is going to beat the living **** out of him...all of this hype for manny is amazing, but it is no different from the hype hatton got, or de la hoya got, or gatti got in terms of it being hype...fans on here hype a fighter who goes against floyd and make themselves believe that the fighter stands a better chance against him than he really does, and that is because(at least on here anyway) that fans think with their hearts most of the time on here, and many fans on here have a black heart when it comes to floyd...he is the most hated fighter on here, bar none...and that is okay, i'm proud that he is...because the victory over his opponent's makes it that much sweeter...

there's nothing wrong with having belief in a fighter, hell, that is what i'm doing right now, but you have to think with your mind when breaking a fight down...manny pac has nothing in his arsenal that floyd won't take advantage of and expose so badly and take advantage of and destroy, mark my words...pacman is in a no win situation, he cannot beat floyd, period...in no way shape or form will pac beat mayweather...mayweather knows this, which is why he made this comment, and he holds true to his words...

i don't give two flying ****s how many times he contradicts himself in interviews...in that ring, there are no contradicitons---it's just the truth--he is the truth in that ring...manny pac and his legions of fans will find this out, just wait and see...i cannot wait and i am willing to make a bet with anybody on here than floyd dominates pacman....again, this fight will happen and floyd will punish that man...

where will manny go from there? hatton's status declined when he lost to floyd...his star power took a dip also...because when floyd beats manny, who is going to want to fight manny, fighters at 140, and once again, mayweather will be back at number 1 on the
p4p lists, and then he will be the one to beat once again, which he is now still, but you know what i mean...that will only make the fight with mosley or cotto or whoever else bigger....this will all happen...i'm not thinking with my heart more than my mind---floyd will beat the living **** out of pacman...

I agree, although i don't see Manny status being that bad after loosing to PBF, not as big as now but sill cash BIG a few more times and retire as one of the greatest...

On the other hand if PBF looses, do you see rematch?, possibly big big money trilogy?

I don't see anyone beating the PBF (assuming he is the same fighter as pre-retirement) but can't see betting against Pacquiao. This is the fight that must happen, and happen while both are in their prime.

I'm sure you didn't do it on purpose but I believe your saying Pac's fans are hyping him more then what he deserves. Mayweather has had some gift decisions in the past, he has also been put on ***** street by Chop Chop. So there is no stretch to the imagination that Manny can put Floyd on his seat. Manny had problems with JMM in both of their fights however since those fights Manny has improved and the angles and speed that he presents is gonna give Floyd trouble in the opening rounds. It happened in the Judah fight, until Floyd adapted to Judah's unorthodoxed stance and speed he was losing on the judges score cards. With Pac's power Mayweather is going to have to step into the ring with a solid game plan from round 1 till round 12. Before the layoff I would have had no issue giving the nod to Mayweather but close to 2 yrs off is definately going to take away part of a fighters ability. The JMM fight should be a good measuring stick to see if Floyd is coming back to the game 100%.

I think we may all be very suprised but if Pac vs Mayweather were ever to happen. I honestly believe that it will be one of those classic Duran vs. Leonard type of fights that live on through the next couple of generations. Seriously a former #1 P4P vs the current #1 P4P and both of them are still relatively in their prime, both are close enough in weight to make the fight happen, and Pac's power and speed are enough to make it an interesting fight and bring out the best in Mayweather. This is a straight up 10 on the boner meter!!!

How does Pac have Floyd's number if Pac struggles with slick boxers? I think you have it backwards.

marquez and floyd are counterpunchers but are different. floyd does't put his punches together like marquez. people must be blind not to see the improvement in pac, itsso obviously that he has the tools to beat mayweather.

floyd has not faced a pressure fighter that can box and fight with the speed skill and talent of a pacquiao. this is not an easy fight for both boxers, but at this moment pac has the momentum.

how can you compare delahoya hatton and gatti to pacquiao. pac actually has the skillset to beat floyd. pac didn't become number one by being overhyped or fighting a bunch of nobody's.

i dont understand your logic, floyd has had some tough fights against agressive type fighters in the past and now he will totally blowaway the best offensive fighter of this generation who has immense speed like floyd.

Manny has improved, no doubt about that. But he's also looked great because they've been matching him against guys that play right into his strengths/style: Diaz - stood in front of Manny and was punched at will. DLH - too drained to do anything and got pummeled. Hatton - rushed in with his hands down and got whacked.

You better believe Pac is going to have a very difficult time finding Floyd, possibly to the point of frustration. Throw in Mayweather's speed and longer reach and you have a frustrated Pac getting his ears boxed off over 12.

ummmm. that's a good question...i don't see floyd losing before he retires again, but who knows? i guess i wouldn't mind seeing a big money trilogy, you know that all of the other greats have had, but i really don't see floyd losing to mosley, cotto, jmm, and definitely pacman...but a trilogy would be good for boxing bretween these two...i'd rather just see floyd prove why he is just leagues ahead of the rest...AGAIN...because skillwise, he really is...

i was comparing the hype around them, not skillset...take it easy champ...and i meant what i posted...it's hype...that is it...it's great for boxing, but i have to let you people know the truth---floyd is going to dust pacman...his layoff imo only enhanced his hunger and gave his body time to rest, his hands time to breathe and i can see floyd showing us something that is going to amaze us even more---this man is boxing at it's best...no doubt about it...

what fights were you watching? seriously what fights were you watching...because corley, caught floyd with a looping right hand, that did send floyd back to the ropes, but he didn't land anything effective after that and floyd knocked him down just several seconds later but it was called a slip(complete bull****)...you see, it's easy for you to put that in your post about corely having floyd on dream street because he was caught...it's not that easy to argue that point when corley couldn't capitalize seen how floyd defended well against his punches follwing the initla punch, and taking advantage of the fact that corely tired himself out throwing th epunches he did after the intial punch and going down later in the round when floyd ducked his jabs and left hand straights only to land a right hook and a barage of left and right hooks that sent him down...yes, corley stunned floyd for a split second just like zab did, in the same fashion when he landed the punch in round 4(corley did it in round 4 also that sent floyd back to the ropes and zab landed next to nothing follwing that and floyd was not seriously hurt at all and fought hard in both of those fights in round 4 to break them down...he did just that...the judges scorecard for the zab/mayweather fight were pretty lopsided...9 rounds to 3--maybe 8 rounds to 4---i gave zab 3 rounds, and in those 3 rounds, only 1 round was really convincing to me and that was round 2 only because of the flash knockdown. zab lost round 3, period, so your logic is pretty arguable and a little decent in that as[ect of floyd being able to get caught by southpaws, but in no way does it change the fact that floyd will dominate manny because of so many flaws manny has...i would be more than happy to explain this further...you let me know...
