Erik (LA): How long was your training camp for this fight?
SportsNation Andre Berto: The training camp, I did about a seven week training camp. It was pretty good. A really good training camp.
Lisa (TN): Is it any tougher when you're in the ring during a regular fight versus when you're in a title fight?
SportsNation Andre Berto: It's a little more pressure. You're defending the title, something you've worked for a long time.
Aaron (Florida): What kind of work outs did you do?
SportsNation Andre Berto: We stepped up on the conditioning. Polymetric training and a lot of strength training.
David Corning, Ca: Hi Andre, How will you be able to handle Urangos' punching power.
SportsNation Andre Berto: I'm the bigger guy. He had tremendous power at 140. Let's see how he brings it to 147. Even if he's pretty strong, I have to be smart with him. Use the angles and my speed.
Shayne - NY [via mobile]: How did you first get involved with boxing? Thanks and good luck on Saturday!
SportsNation Andre Berto: I was a real hyper young kid. It got me in trouble a little bit. My father was a full contact fighter, so he wanted to take me somewhere to help me relieve a little bit of energy. He took me to the gym and it's been with me ever since.
Walter (Albuquerque, NM): Now that Floyd Mayweather is back, how does it feel to be the man holding the belt he used to have, and would you give him an opportunity to fight for it?
SportsNation Andre Berto: I feel great. I think it's a huge accomplishment in my huge career and it's a huge responsibility. Floyd, we're really good friends. I doubt he'd want to come fight me for the title when he has a lot of other big fights out there. But who knows.
Russ: What are ur thoughts about a unification match with shane Mosley?
SportsNation Andre Berto: I look forward to it. I am excited about that. I think we can unify the titles. We're in the hottest division in boxing. I think it's about that time.
Ivan Montiel-Toronto, ON Canada: What do you have to say to boxing fans who say your over-rated?
SportsNation Andre Berto: I have nothing to say to those guys. Critics are going to be critics. My job is to just continue racking up wins. THat's the only thing that matters.
bayamon, puerto rico: who you will like to fight next cotto or a re-match with collazo
SportsNation Andre Berto: Any fight that comes my way. I'd love to fight Cotto. I tried to get the rematch with Collazo done for this fight but it didn't get done.
Big Al, " Finito" East Los Angeles, CA: Don't yoou think you are decreasing your level of opposition from Collazo to Urango?
SportsNation Andre Berto: I'm fighting in my home state, so I'm excited. Urango is a tough opponent. I cna't look past him. I'm looking to put on a good show.
squibbs: Alpharetta, GA: what was the hardest match of your career? and would you give him a rematch?
SportsNation Andre Berto: I think the toughest fight in my career was probably the David fight as well as the Collazo fight. Handling so much adversity with the Collazo fight, not being as physically prepared as I could be. I had to show a lot of heart.
Donald, Queens New York: If your victorious in sat fight, would you consider fighting Zab Judah..........?
SportsNation Andre Berto: Definitely. He still has a name in boxing. If the fight presents itself and makes sense, definitely.
Tim (Saint Paul, MN): What will you be looking out for from Urango? What does he do well? (I've never seen him fight).
SportsNation Andre Berto: He basically comes straight forward. He throws a lot of big, big powerful, round shots. Looking out for a lot of round shots. His right hook. Looking out for that.
addex199 Brooklyn, New York: Which fighter was your biggest influence to become a fighter??
SportsNation Andre Berto: I was a big Joe Louis fan. Marvin Hagler fan. Oscar De La Hoya and Sugar Ray Leonard. Guys like that.
Andy (Denver): how is it to be in the best division?
SportsNation Andre Berto: It feels great. It's exciting. All eyes are on our division. There's so much competition. I'm just happy to be a part of it.
Neel (CT): What's your thoughts about the whole Margarito situation?
SportsNation Andre Berto: It's sad to hear. It's a shame. It's a black eye for boxing. I'm just glad they got it handled now so they can deal with it now and let boxers know it won't be tolerated.
SportsNation Andre Berto: I appreciate all the support. Tune in Saturday night, it's going to be a good show.
