Ricky Hatton's drawing power in America... (Also Pac's in the Philippines)

Disregarding UK figures, is Hatton really such a mammoth of a draw? To me his star power appears to be mainly contained to the UK

Something I see brought up quite often when discussing Mayweather's drawing power is that he is always assumed to have been carried by Oscar and Hatton in his respective fights with them, but in a similar vein is it not possible that Hatton was "carried" by Floyd and Pacquiao in his two most recent U.S. PPV shows? As far as I'm aware he was not a big name over there before he got his shot at Floyd and wasn't seen as quite the cash cow he is now, and I think people often underestimate the interest that Floyd and Pacquiao do garner from fans. Also wasn't his quite highly publicised fight with Malignaggi not even a PPV event over there?

And on a related note, something I've noticed is that when discussing Hatton's drawing power UK figures are always brought up and included and thus secure him as probably the second largest draw after good old Oscar De La Hoya, but when discussing Pacquiao's no one seems to really take his Philippino viewing figures into account? I assume they must be huge and make his fights actually more watched than most or even anyone's? Is it because his fights are not actually pay per view over there?... But even if that is the case, viewing figures can still be obtained, and they are still obviously an indication of name power

    Cliffnotes:

    - Was Hatton a big name in America prior to his bout with Mayweather?

    - Is it possible that in his American PPV fights with Floyd and Pac he was the secondary draw as opposed to the star?

    - What are Pacquiao's Philippino viewing figures actually like and are his fights sold as pay per view events over there?

Yeah probably. But we all know that's a drop in the ocean in relation to a fight's overall revenue amassed

Does Hatton even have any fans outside of Britain?

He could outsell Floyd in America.

To the US market, absolutely. Those are the only 2 US PPVs Hatton has been involved in. How many US PPV fights have May and Pac had between them?

Anyone who tries to spin it like Hatton was the majority draw in the Mayweather fight is nuts (yet there are some who do).
