tarver had a rematch clause, chad wouldnt have fought him if he could help it.
he also asked for more time from the ibf to fight his mandatory cloud because he wanted the glen johnson rematch but they refused so he had to vacate it to fight johnson.
if the ibf gave him more time he wouldnt have vacated it.

            no

it was contracted into the first fight that Tarver could exercise his rematch clause should he lose

Dawson tried to get out of it because he knew he was making a transition from Showtime to HBO and they may not approve Tarver as an opponent but they did so he fought him again

this had nothing to do with the belt at all.

it's similar to when Mora tried to get out of fighting Forrest in a rematch. They tried to get him to step aside but since it was written into the contract he had no choice meaning he could not fight again unless it was Forrest. If they chose not to fight Forrest, Shaw and Forrest could have sued to stop any fight that didn't involve Vernon

                same scenario for Chad

The contract didn't call for an immediate rematch, he could have one fight before the second with Tarver.

Dawson could have fought Cloud before the second Tarver fight, instead of making Tavoris wait all those months for nothing.

I'm not quite sure Dawson made Tavoris wait for anything - can you explain how he did that?

Also I never heard about an exception for the immediate rematch - interesting stuff. Where did you get that info?
