Damn, I forgot to put Salita on my least favorite boxers list yesterday. I think my brain blocks out that he exists.
Khan-Kotelnik Winner Being Targeted By Dmitriy Salita

I could imagine Khan to take this, if he should win the title. After watching Salita alot over the years, he is a good solid fighter at best, but he 's nothing special up to now.
He holds a record of 31 fights, with 30 wins and 1 draw. But his level of competition has been rather medicore, his best wins are really not much to talk about, and I would like to see him in more mean worthy fights to see just how good he is.
If the two should ever meet, I feel like this would be a fight Khan could win. But lets see if he shall get past Andriy Kotelnik who is nobodies push over.
Funny do, Salita claimed that Kotelnik avoided fighting him.Comment

I like Khan, what are you talking about? I didn't say he should fight for a title, I said that if he does (and he is doing), then he should fight the best contenders if he wins it.
I think it's much too early for him to be fighting for a world title for that very reason, as I've said in many previous threads; and that at this stage of his career he should be fighting learning fights against tough fighters whom he can beat but would learn from, such as David or Julio Diaz. But if he wants to call himself a world champion and then avoids fighting anyone who can punch, he'd lose all credibility.Last edited by Dave Rado; 05-28-2009, 12:59 PM.Comment

Im pretty sure Maidana is a pretty good fighter but I just feel that Ortiz is just out of his element. I think ortiz will beat Maidana and relatively quick. From then on I dont think either promoter from Khan or Kotelnik would risk putting their fighter against Ortiz, with that said I think Ortiz then faces a better known fighter. Perhaps a Holt, Campbell or Bradley.Comment

khan-salita next. i dont see any reason why khan can't win this one.
i agree, khan's handlers will not risk him fighting ortiz. ortiz is too dangerous for khan.Comment
