Why is Floyd being so respectful towards Marquez?

Floyd is usually trashing his opponents before the fight, but now he seems to be very respectful towards Marquez. Could it be that he wants to change his persona or like he says he actually has grown up.

He's seen with Pacquiao and Hatton that being a normal humble guy sells just as many fights as playing the *******. Perhaps you could call that growing up.

Is he 32? I think people generally tend to grow up by that age. Or maybe he's taking a leaf out of Manny's book because he sees that he doesn't need to act like a goon to be successful.

I think Floyd geniunely respects marquez, as a fighter & a man. even floyd sees the warrior that is marquez. a guy cant help but respect that. I think it also probably has something to do with making marquez seem like he's worthy to be in there since he's catching so much flack for fighting him.

I was thinking its because he knows deep down this is a win. People are already giving him hell over the weight difference. No need to trash the man and add even more doubt over the fight.

why shouldn't he be, these are 2 of the most skilled fighters. They understand eachother and jmm has alot of respect for mayweather, it'd be wrong for floyd not to show him the same respect. Although i'll admit, i'm missing that bad boy act

I don't think Marquez poses any type of threat mentally when it comes to that sort of game. Mayweather doesn't need to get into his head, because it's basically surgeon vs. surgeon for this one.
