He needs to add weight, but he sure does have the height and reach down. Is he going to make a dent in the division in a couple years? Not that you necessarily have to be good to make a dent in the HW division today, but how much potential does he have?

He has potential for sure but he's still a novice. He's only been boxing for a couple of years.

I wish him the best but it will be a long time before he's anyone.

He can punch a bit too, and seemed to handle himself decently against very good amateurs at the Olympics.

Did you check him out at UIC when he was there on FNF?

I want to see where he is in 25-30 fights, that is about how many he needs to polish his skills. Then I will start really judging him.

He is a real specimin, we need to find out if he has the desire to really improve and work hard at his career.

He has a lot of potential, he's very raw right now but he has a good right hand, he's developing his jab, he has height, reach and really good handspeed for a guy his size. Breland should be able to teach him a thing or two about a stiff jab and how to make that right hand brutally effective.

No I was still in school in Indiana then. Has his chin ever been tested?

He hasn't fought anyone as a pro but he fought much better guys in the amateurs and it seemed to hold up fine.

It will be a while before we know about his chin. I think he will have a ton of fights before he meets someone to question his chin.

But what I've seen and from talking to him, that kid has a good head on his shoulders and plenty of motivation.

He's got the physical tools required, but he has no idea what he is doing. He needs to be moved at a snail's pace. I'd give him 30 fights before even dreaming about moving for a title.

well right now he's 5-0 and Golden Boy is planning (at least what I read on ESPN)

to have Delontay fight at the end of June, again in July (maybe even on the PBF-Marquez card) and in August.

so he is being moved along pretty slowly, but at least he's getting fights in.

**it would be fun to see him and Tyson Fury fight sometime down the line if both can stay winning.

Wilder is just another American bum. He can't fight, he has too many flaws. He will never amount to anything.
