why??because the best fights most likely dont make the best money..or a promoter is protecting a fighter....boxing was pure before the big money came but now it isnt the same..thats why it isnt big like it use to be..the best arnt fighting the best because........money issues...im a fan regardless if my fighter wins or loses..thats life man somedays are great somedays you wish you didnt wake up.....but hell atleast you're breathing and atleast you gave your best..its no secret floyd is my guy..but if he fought the best 5 fighters in his next 5 fights and lost all 5..id still be on here talking **** and saying he's the man..why???cause im real and i know boxing..he'd have all my respect..money seriously is the root of all evil

I think that's starting to change. Especially if you look back at the years 2003, 2004, and 2005, and compare them to the years 2006, 2007, and 2008.

I'm hopeful that Golden Boy is going to follow through on what Oscar says they'll do ; in getting some big fights off of PPV, and back on premium networks, and eventually back onto primetime, network television.

They certainly have the money, connections, and know how to do it.

I agree with ya Larry, I have been asking why Bob Arum is trying to ruin boxing for awhile now. Putting Pavliks fights with bums on PPV as well as all the Chavez Jr. fights and a bunch of fights that aren't worth $20 on PPV for 50-60 bucks. Come on Bob just give it up by now.
