Valuev Feel Very Confident of Getting Revenge on Chagaev

WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev has dubbed Saturday´s rematch against “champion in recess” Ruslan Chagaev the “most important fight” of his life. The Russian Giant (50-1, 34 KOs) is eager to avenge the only loss of his career. “I am glad I will finally get the chance to set the record straight,” he said at today´s press conference at Hartwall Arena. “I am very confident of success. I have improved a lot since the first meeting. This is certainly the most important fight of my career.” [details]

I'm not confident Valuev will win. He says he's improved, but how much? I still think Chagaev will beat him.

After watching their first fight I thought the big guy would win the rematch. But after seeing Valuev completely mesmorized by a heavyweight in his mid 40's, I can't pick him with any confidence.

          Exactly.

The guy is too tall with very little skills. Being that big requires a lot of co-ordination.

I've always thought that Valuev has potential to do some real damage in the division. He needs to stop thinking so hard and just start throwing "George Foreman-like bombs" at his opponents. I think it's a no-lose strategy...

Haven`t seen that his trainer Zimin is trying to do? He wants Valuev to float like a butterfly and sting like be... The problem is that Valuev is still floating like an elephant but stings like a butterfly...

I think it is simply senceless... Tou cannot change the fighter of such size and age as Valuev...
